If you are the descendent of a young man who was in this class but left to join the service, please let me know.

May 9, 1943
Commencement exercises were held Saturday night, May 8, for twenty-six Caddo High School seniors of 1943, the smallest class to finish from Caddo in many years. The student participation exercises were held in the Caddo High School auditorium.
Of the twenty-six students to finish the year, only eight were boys. Many students of the original class left last fall to go into military service or defense work.
The commencement program “On Our Way” was an educational revue in which all of the seniors participated. Other activities of the past week included baccalaureate service Sunday morning with the Rev. B. P. Roberts, pastor the Caddo Nazarene church, delivering the sermon. On Wednesday night the class program, with the main theme that of a circus, was presented.
Now at the close of the year the class will go into defense work or prepare for defense work. Meda Lois Thomas, Blanche Armstrong, Dainah Lee Sluder, and Elwina Sweet plan to go to Dallas to go into defense work. Loyce Choate, Merle Brooks, and Frances Harris will also go to Dallas, but to enter business college. Frankie Lou Hodges and Minnie Lee Nation will attend East Central College at Ada next year. Dortha Mae Kitchen, who completed her work at mid-term, is attending Southeastern State College. Ludie Ellis Cunningham and Margaret Morrow Terril, brides of the year, plan to assume their duties as housewives. Martha Fay Wilson will go to California to join her parents, and Jean Glendenning will go into army nursing. Billye Ruth Baxter plans to leave soon to spend the summer in Fort Worth, then will attend school this fall. Four girls of the class have not definitely decided what they will do. They are Eunice Speers, Mary Elizabeth Boydstun, Mary Alice McNatt, and La Ruth Lewis.
Note: Class sponsor was Mrs. Ray Pace. A class photo with caption lists the boys as Junior (George) Thompson, Hunter Freeny, Marian Martin, Robert Mills, J. T. Russell, George Herron and Byron Rodden. Alumni records include Paul Hamilton.
