Sheriff Got Bad Man
Last Friday morning Sheriff Philips was called to Caddo Hills south of town to see about a bad man who had been terrorizing the community, thought to be crazy. The sheriff talked to the man, and as he was leaving he took a shot at Phillips with a 32 Winchester. The Sheriff, not desiring to do anything rash, came back to town, got the necessary papers, and with Deputies Boydstun and Arrington, went there Friday night and captured his man without serious trouble. The prisoner was taken to Durant and several serious charges laid against him.
Sheriff Phillips manages to get law violators. He endeavors to take them peacefully if he can, but come they must when he has the papers.
