Caddo Boosters Went Strong
Eighty Boosters for Corn Carnival in Fifteen Autos
Made County Trip Tuesday
Tuesday at noon Durant citizens thought a fire alarm of a new pattern was being tried out when fifteen auto loads of Caddo Corn Carnival Boosters, eighty of them altogether, came into town from the north amid the shrieks of siren whistles and made their presence known by assembling the Caddo Band on Main Street and playing a tune or two. The bunch was out advertising Caddo’s annual affair and every one of them was adorned with a white cap bearing the words “Caddo Corn Carnival”.
Their itinerary was as follows: from Caddo to Kenefick, thence to Durant, Calera, Colbert, Achille, Kemp city, Denison, back to Albany, Utica, Roberta, Bokchito, and Caddo. This was not followed however, owing to the bad roads that were found in the south part of the county.
