Ford and Pigs for Sale
I have a good Ford car with 20 young pigs, weaned. All in good condition, for sale. These animals and car have a warm attachment for each other, but will sell separately. The car burns gas and the pigs eat corn or any other commodity handy. For further particulars and a demonstration, see Hale Brothers, Caddo.
Baptist Church in Use
This week the carpenters got the work far enough ahead so that services can be held next Sunday, which will be done. For four weeks the membership have been attending other services, but this week they can go back home.
It will be several weeks yet before the building is complete. It will have to be papered, painted, and seated before completion yet it can be used as it is. The building will have double seating capacity and will be more convenient for services.
The pastor and superintendent want their people to come back home next Sunday.
I have impounded according to law the following described animal and owner is hereby notified to claim same before the time: 1 roan horse 10 or 12 years old, 14 hands high, wt. about 700 lbs., no brands. If not identified before this time I will sell same at auction Saturday, August 21 at 3 pm at the town pound to highest bidder for cash. V. V. Weir, marshal
Cow Taken Up

Monday Was a Day of Many Accidents
Monday afternoon seemed to be a time of terrible accidents in and near Caddo.
In a fight between neighbors just south of town a Mr. Lewis was severely cut about the right breast. He is yet in a dangerous condition. Full details of the fight could not be learned and the assailants so far have not been arrested, having fled.
The car of Col. L. S. Porter ran off the embankment two miles north of town, becoming unmanageable. Col. Porter received a broken shoulder; Mrs. Porter had a leg broken, and a compound fracture of the hip and pelvic bones, a s some doubt is entertained in her recovery. They were brought to Caddo, first aid having been taken to them, and taken by ambulance to Durant Hospital where every attention and treatment was given. Col porter is an army doctor located at Ft. Leavenworth, and was on a trip to Texas.
Coming out of Bokchito north, a young man whose name we did not learn, instead of shifting to low, shifted into reverse going up a hill, with the result that the car plunged backward downhill, throwing out the occupants, one of the ladies breaking a leg.
Two minor accidents occurred hurting no one, but slightly damaging the cars.
