A.E. Ray, better known to his friends as “Bert”, aged 56 years, was buried in the Caddo Cemetery last Sunday afternoon in charge of Rev. R. C. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Durant, with music furnished by the Civic Club of Caddo. The body had been brought from Tulsa overland after his death on Friday. The deceased was an old time resident of Caddo, having lived here until a few years ago. He had been employed as a Civil Engineer under the county Engineer of Tulsa County for the past three years. He is survived by four sisters: Mrs. H. T. Chiles, Okla. City, Mrs. Mattie Lou Harris, Okla. City, Mrs. T. J. Coffey, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Neve Ray whose married name we have not been able to learn, Greenville, Texas.; two brothers, Jack and Morgan Ray of Okla. City, his father, A. E. Ray, Sr. of Okla. City. One uncle, John Ray, Greenville, Texas, was present for the funeral.
