About Caddo Postmastership
It is announced from Washington officially that the new administration will not disturb the commissions of postmasters who are doing good work in their home towns. As the commissions expire democrats will be appointed, but unless for cause, none will be removed.
Postmaster Markham’s time in Caddo will not expire until February 28, 1915, nearly two years hence; so it is energy wasted now to figure on his successor, unless he should be proven unfit for the job, which would be a difficult matter, for taking his work as a whole, he had made the best postmaster Caddo has ever had.
It is a redeeming note that the present national administration will confine itself largely to the big questions that affect the whole nation rather than to political spoils which affect only a few individuals.
