Rites Held Saturday for James. M. Goddard,
Funeral services were held in Caddo Saturday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church for J. M. Goddard, who died Thursday afternoon at his home.
Rev. E. Hotchkin conducted the services which were attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends. Burial in Caddo cemetery.
James Madison Goddard was 69 years of age, came to Caddo some forty years ago from his Tennessee home. He engaged in farming, business, and construction work here and in Kenefick; was always active and energetic in his activities. He was highly regarded by all who had known him.
He is survived by his wife and two children, James and Sarah.
His death last Thursday was sudden and unexpected. Was downtown about noon when he complained of not feeling well; went home and died within a few hours.
