Mrs. T. M. Hester Dies
Mrs. T. M. Hester died at home in Caney Saturday. The funeral was held there with burial Sunday afternoon in Caddo Cemetery.
Mrs. Hester was known in Caddo, being a sister of Rom and Jim Sargent, but moved to Caney in 1908.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary, of Caney, and three sons, T. E. , Ponca City; Bennett, Caney; W. C., Bokchito. Active pall bearers: Ira Stephenson, G. A. Anderson, T. T. Hall, H. A. Reid, E. M. Elliott, Cleve Young. Honorary pall bearers were: G. T. Mumpower, Kingston; C. W. Wilson, Denison; Lake Brewer, Caddo; Walter Davis, Bokchito; Ed McKee, Caney; Henry Mason, Caney; W. S. Sawyer, Bokchito; J. N. Winenger, Caney. (Mrs. Hester’s first name was Bessie.)
J. W. Boatman Dies
J. W. Boatman died at this home in Caddo Tuesday morning of a heart ailment, not having been ill long.
The funeral was held at Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 2:00, conducted by Rev. M. D. Gentry. Burial in Caddo cemetery.
Mr. Boatman had lived here many years and was respected by all who knew him.
Jerry Alderson Dies
Jerry Alderson died Tuesday night at a McAlester hospital of meningitis and was buried Wednesday.
Alderson at one time taught in Caddo and Caney schools and was well and favorably known here.
His father and mother are Bryan County old timers and live in Durant now. Joe McKinnis went to McAlester Tuesday to see Alderson. (Mr. Alderson is buried in Highland Cemetery in Durant.)
