B.Y. P. U. Doings
Last Friday night at the Baptist Tabernacle the B. Y. P. U. conducted one of the most enjoyable socials that that organization has ever had. Games were introduced and refreshments served which were enjoyed to the utmost by everyone.
Those present were: Mrs. Weaver Owens, chaperone; Miss Myrtle McCreary; Miss Delene Boydstun’ Miss Myrtle Dean; Miss Jennie Grace Mugg; Miss Clovis Wright; Miss Naomi Hensley; Miss Lillie Craghead; Miss Ruth Lawrence; Miss Willie Redmon, and Weaver Owens; Baker Archer; Lucian Hodges; Cornis Briggs; Mason Grewell; Roy Rogers; Carter McCalman; Fred McCurley; Arthur Hill; Frank Nagle; Merle Rylant; Ernest McCreary; Dean Hill. If anyone who was there fails to find his name among these listed do not feel offended for if such is the case it is purely an over-sight on the part of the writer.
Sunday night after the program was rendered, the Union decided to have a contest between groups of the Union to determine who the financiers of the next social will be. Groups 1 and 3 will contest against 2 and 4. The groups making the best record will have the pleasure of being entertained at the end of a month by the losing group.
Come and join, you may be on the winning side. Though you are not it will be well worth your while.
