Mrs. Laura Kelley passed away on the morning of the 21st of October. She was conscious up to the very last, and in making her last will and testament she exercised resolution in everything. After her business was attended to she said if it was her Lord’s will for her to die let it be so, showing no fear of the dark doom of death. Oh! What a resolute spirit; she wanted her nearest friends and relatives as well as the attending physician near. As she drew nearer the hour and minute of her departure she seemed to be more satisfied to go, asking that her precious little ones, Jackie, Ed, and Viola should have the best of care and to be kept in school until grown; also asked that they might be raised aright, that they may know the road to righteousness and meet her in heaven. She showing the noble righteous spirit until the last, then passed away gently. May God help a reformation so her little ones may meet her.
