Bond Issue Approved
Word has been received by the school board that the bond issue voted by the citizens of Caddo of $15,000 was approved by the secretary of the interior. This is reasonably quick work. The bonds were voted July 18th and approved Aug. 24th.
Advertisements have been sent off and the sale of the bonds will be made soon and they will be dated Nov. 1, 1904 run twenty years, and bear six per cent interest. It is expected that a premium will be paid for the bonds as six per cent interest for twenty years is quite a good investment. The school site has been selected and it only awaits the action of the secretary of the interior to remove the restrictions of Mrs. M. Manning so that title can be made to the ground. If this fails another site will be selected and the building begun as soon as possible.
