Last week was redolent with amusement for the young folks. There being no school, some entertainment was had most every night.
Christmas night Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Crossett entertained for their son Guy G. Crossett. The young folks seemed to enjoy the games and entertainment very much.
Wednesday evening the younger set or “frying size” were entertained at the same place in honor of Miss Janice Crossett. These young folks also seemed to enjoy the innocent amusement provided for them.
Thursday night Miss Mary Lee Hogan entertained a party of the “frying size” young folks at her home. Games and amusements were enjoyed and light refreshments were served.
New Year’s Eve Misses Juanita and Maudie Person entertained a party of young folks at her home with a “Watch Party”. The evening was bitterly cold, but this did not dampen the ardent spirits who attended. Games were enjoyed until midnight when the party went out to welcome the New Year by ringing bells and blowing horns. It was a tired and sleepy bunch who found rest afterwards. All report an enjoyable evening.
