At the home of her daughter in Mayfield, Okla. last Wednesday, Mrs. J. P. Rogers died after a short illness. The remains were brought to Caddo and buried in the Caddo Cemetery Friday afternoon; the service being conducted at the Methodist Church by Rev. Henderson, pastor. Mrs. Rogers had gone to visit her daughter and was taken sick while there. The wires brought the news here and Mr. Rogers and daughter, Lottie, hastened to her bedside, but death came before they arrived. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Methodist Church and was active in its affairs. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Honsinger and Miss Lottie of Caddo, and a number of sisters at Hubbard, Texas, (from) whence she came to Caddo some ten years ago. Those attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winn, Whitesboro, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers and mother, Cleburne, Texas; Mrs. Jennie Graham and two daughters, Hubbard, Texas; John Higgins, Hillsboro, Texas; Tom Biggers, Irene, Texas, and Will Biggers, Waxahachie, Texas.
