Harry G. Boydstun Receives Silver Wings
Panama City, Fla.- Harry G. Boydstun, son of Mrs. Ola Boydstun, Caddo, Okla. is almost ready now to start blasting enemy fighter planes out of the sky.
He has been graduated as an aerial gunner, promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and received a pair of silver wings at the Army Air Forces Flexible Gunnery School at Tyndall Field.
After advanced training with a combat unit the new sergeant will be ready to take his place as a key member of a bomber crew, one of the men upon whose marksmanship depends the lives of the plane and its crew and the success of its mission.
