Such is the summary of the community revival which closed at the Tabernacle Monday evening.
Evangelist Judge Frank Morris and Choir Director Moody B. Cunningham led this campaign for three weeks. In it they were ably assisted by Rev. M. A. Cassidy, pastor of the Methodist Church and by members of all churches in town.
There is new spirit pervading Caddo now. There is a more brotherly feeling; there is a more inspiring phase put upon life by reason of these meetings. A larger value is being put upon the church and its influence in the community.
The evangelist and singer go to Checotah from Caddo beginning a meeting there Sunday and they go with the good will and the prayers of Caddo folk for success for the Master.
The spirit of Christ has pervaded these services throughout. The preacher has by his inimical methods brought vividly before the people the meaning and the value of salvation from sin. He has done his best and in doing this he has vilified none. He has powerfully presented both the love and the judgments of God. He has not attempted any Churchanity- he has endeavored to get men to profess the Christ and let the church membership be taken where the sinner chose. In this sort of work he has the commendation of all thinking Christian people.
Judge Frank Morris has a way of winning men- he is a man’s man and men are impressed by his earnestness and faith in God- by his trust in the power of God and by his trust in the leadership of the Holy Ghost. Judge Morris takes no credit to himself. He gives the Savior the credit for saving men.
Caddo is extremely fortunate to have had such a man to lead such a revival. The community has stood in much need of just such an awakening- and now that such a revival has been vouchsafed to us, Caddo is insistent that other communities likewise may be blessed.
