Buck Dalton is Held Charged with Death of Richard Gould
J. M. Dalton, accused slayer of Richard Gould, aged 27, in Durant Monday, was arrested at noon Tuesday by Deputy W. O. Taylor at the home of Dalton’s father-in-law, Charles Belt, in Durant.
Dalton, who is accused of fatally shooting Gould about five o’clock Monday afternoon, fled but returned to the city during the night while officers and a posse of citizens scoured hills and vales northeast of town in a vain search for him.
Orphan’s Home Man to be at Baptist Church Monday
Rev. Dan Curb, representative of the Baptist Orphan’s Home, will speak at the Baptist Church Monday evening March 16th. Rev. Curb operates the produce truck for the Home. This is the opportunity for friends of the Home to contribute foodstuffs for the Home. Bring or send your offering to the church between now and Monday evening.
Music club Meets at Boland Home Saturday
Caddo Music Club met Saturday with Mrs. Jack Lilly as the hostess at the Boland home. Business meeting was led by Miss Boland. The program of Radio City Musical numbers was given by Mary Lilly, Mrs. C. A. Hancock, and Mrs. Edw. Walters. Refreshments were served to eight members and to three guests.
