Alumni Association to Meet Here May 23, 24
At a meeting of the executive officers of the Alumni Association held last Friday evening tentative plans for the annual meeting of the Association were made. The date was set at May 23 and 24th.
Every member of the Association will receive a copy of this week’s Herald so that all may be notified of the meeting and of the costs.
The reception will be held at the Hotel at 8:15 p. m. Saturday, May 23rd, with a dance to follow at the gymnasium. An excellent orchestra will be had.
Rules for attendance at the reception and dance only are: only alumni are eligible for membership in the Association; each member and present and former faculty member is entitled to invite one guest to the dance and reception. Where he or she is married their guest will be their spouse. In cases where not married, the guest shall be their date.
Registration fee is 50c each.
Sunday services include a morning service at 11, at the gymnasium, to which the public is cordially invited. A basket lunch will be served at the gym after services. Rev. W. B. Slack, former Methodist pastor here, and now pastor of First Methodist Church, Okmulgee, has accepted tentatively the invitation to be the guest speaker for the service. Business sessions of the groups will be held early in the afternoon Sunday at the conclusion of which a tea will be held at the home of John L. Boland.

Tea, Miss Marguerite Boland, Miss Nadine Guthrie, and Miss Mary Adeline Boland.
Music, H. W. Sargent.
Ushers, Joe F. Hill.
Programs for reception and morning services and tea, Miss Beth Moore.
Receiving line at reception will include executive officers, H. W. Sargent, president; Miss Beth Moore, vice pres.; Miss Mary Adeline Boland, recording secretary; Guy G. Crossett, corresponding secretary; with those who have been invited: Mrs. Edwardine Crenshaw Couch, Bonham, Texas; Mrs. M. F. Overstreet, Durant; James P. Shofner, Rogers, Ark.; O. E. VanMeter, Beggs, Okla.; Geo. B. Morris, Durant, who was the first superintendent of Caddo schools and Joe McKinnis, the present superintendent.
Receiving line at the Tea in the afternoon will be composed of the executive officers.
To every alumni who gets a copy of this paper: Mark the dates of May 23 and 24 on your calendar and make you arrangements to be in Caddo at that time. That’s big doings brewing and you’ll never regret being here; and to attend one of these reunions makes you want to come back to the next one.
