Rain Falls for Picnic
Besides the rain Sunday night, misty drizzly weather has prevailed since up to yesterday afternoon.
It has had a decidedly dampening effect on the picnic and celebration.
While the shows and attractions are all here, the people have not braced the threatening weather. The baseball games Wednesday and Thursday were postponed on account of rain.
You may be sure to see something good though if it does not rain Friday and Saturday.
The Hugo baseball team is here. The Madill band is here; they are ready for the football and baseball Friday.
So come if you can.
