Off to Merchant Marines

Wednesday the following Caddo young men went ot Denison where they were directed to report for training in the U. S. Merchant Marines:

Cliff Pertle

Wm. Kuschke

W. Ray

Mack Grewel

Oscar Hensley

Herman Story

Chas. Bohde

Bert Merriman

Roland Wright

They entwisted in this service in October and have been awaiting call since then. The Merchant Marines will be one of the biggest careers in the world henceforward and we congratulate the young men on their choice.

Mary, another co-incidence. I just did a web search on Roland Wright,supposedly a relative of my husbands's family.There were several Roland Wrights!One Wright was an actor, another was an actress. Elam Wright's dtr. Kathleen Wright. and Josh Wright who became a military career man. Just sayin...
