Indian Payments are Practically Ended
Muskogee, Okla, Sept. 11- Per capita payments to members of the Choctaw and Chickasaw tribes have practically been completed Indian officials said Saturday. Nearly nine thousand payments of $50 each have been made to Choctaws, while three thousand at $30 each have gone to Chickasaws.
In all probably $900,000 has been paid. Many of these payments have been divided between many heirs, in one case as many as forty-five. Much clerical work has resulted.
