M. G. Downing Died at his Home Thursday Morning
At 9:00 o’clock Thursday morning Mose G. Downing died at his home in Caddo following a long intermittent illness.
Mose Downing is a member of a prominent Choctaw family. He lived in Caddo and Atoka all his life, engaged in farming and merchandising during the years until he retired about five years ago.
Funeral services will be held in the Caddo Baptist Church today, Friday at 3:00 p.m. Burial in Caddo cemetery. Rev. J. B. Kirk, the pastor will conduct the services.
He was about 70 years of age, is survived by his wife, one son, Alton; three daughters: Mrs. Harper of Dallas, Mrs. McCreary of Dundee, and Mrs. Allen of Chickasha and several grandchildren.
Many friends the family had and the children are here for the funeral and comfort to their mother in her grief.
Mr. Downing had a heart trouble of long standing which from time to time recurred.
