J. L. Bell died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cliff Covey, in Durant after a long illness.
The remains were brought to Caddo Monday and buried in Caddo Cemetery at 4 o’clock. The funeral was held at the Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. G. A. Gurley.
Mr. Bell was past eighty years of age, had lived in and near Caddo for many years, being an old timer. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cliff Covey, and Mrs. Roy Springer; and four boys, Gaines Bell, Bob Bell, Charles Bell, and Elmer Bell, all being well known in Caddo.
Mr. Bell was a good citizen and respected by all who knew him.

Mrs. J. L. Bell died Sunday morning at nine o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Springer in Durant.
Funeral was held in Caddo at the Baptist church Monday afternoon at one o’clock, conducted by Rev. A. L. Johnson of Durant, interment in Caddo cemetery afterward.
Mrs. Bell was an old timer in the country and was preceded in death a few weeks ago by her husband, J. L. Bell. She was a sister of J. W. Overstreet, prominent Caddo citizen. This couple of fine people raised a large family of splendid sons and daughters and were respected by all who knew them.
