Died: Mrs. Howard T. Faudree died at her home north of town on December 23rd. She leaves a sorrowing husband and many relatives and two small children. She was the daughter of W. G. Ward.
Born: On Christmas day the wife of Dr. Gideon’s son Clark Gideon who resides at Bloomington, Illinois, gave birth to three children, two sons and one daughter. This makes the old doctor’s bosom swell with pride as he is now grandsire of five lusty children.
(Note: Since my own family history includes triplets, born to my great-grandmother, I had to research this family a bit. Sadly, the 1910 census shows Clark as a widower with one son, Nesbitt, and one daughter, Ella.)
