Mrs. Ida Shuck Opens Ida’s Beauty Shoppe
Ida’s Beauty Shoppe with Mrs. Ida Freeny Shuck as owner and operator was opened Tuesday in Caddo. Mrs. Shuck, a native of Caddo, is a graduate of the University of Cosmetology in Dallas, and is a member of the National Hair Dressers Association. Prior to coming to Caddo Mrs. Shuck traveled for Gibbs and Co. Beauty Supply house in Chicago demonstrating their new cold wave, then was employed by Pierce Beauty Salon in Dallas.
The new shop is located in the new Pink Williams building.
Mrs. Shuck has installed all new Helen Curtis equipment and supplies. The furniture in this Shoppe was designed and built by Mr. Shuck, an experienced cabinet maker. The place is equipped with fluorescent lighting. Air conditioning in summer and heat in winter for comfort assures the relaxation while your beauty treatment is being given.
One of Mrs. Shuck’s specialties is facials, and she will have on hand to sell to the public her own “Ida Shuck’s” cosmetics, custom-built cosmetics manufactured in Chicago by Alexander Marks. Very special individual attention will be given to all patrons who desire a more beautiful and healthier looking complexion.
Mrs. Shuck’s other specialties are hair-styling and permanents. Go in and have your hair styled. A coiffure according to the contour of your face will be given you. The very finest in cold wave machine and machineless waves will be given.
