Mrs. McCarty Dies
At her home in Durant Saturday night, Mrs. C. M. McCarty died after several days’ illness; in fact Mrs. McCarty had not been well the past several years. The funeral was conducted from the family home Sunday afternoon, by Rev. Herman Jones, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, of which she was one of the early members. It was attended by a large number of friends, some from Caddo and elsewhere.
Mrs. McCarty was the mother of Mrs. Walter J. Turnbull, was well known in this county, having lived here may years. She leaves five daughters. Mrs. McCarty was loved by all who knew her for her splendid Christian character, for her kindliness and administration, and her death is sincerely mourned.
