The Civic Club and the Lions’ Club will celebrate July 4th at Lions Park, it was decided at Tuesday’s luncheon. Franks, Boone, and H. F. Bass were appointed the committee to confer with the committee from the Civic Club.
The day generally will be celebrated and though it falls this year on Saturday, Caddo will not be lagging in the matter of patriotism. The matter of Defense Day also was referred to this committee.
The bell won by the Club was presented by J. L. Boland. It is of nice appearance and very fine tone.
It was decided to have Ladies’ Night the evening of July 7.
Carroll Franks asked and received the aid of the Lions in getting up Caddo’s quota of the American Legion Endowment Fund. Messrs. Cassidy, Boland, and Henry Bass were appointed to assist the Legion.
The matter of complying with fire protection requirements was taken up and finally referred to committee of Davison, Grayson, Boland, and Sargent.
