Former Caddo Boy Receives Injuries in Wreck Saturday
James Allen, formerly of this city and son of the late Dr. J. R. Allen, was injured in an automobile accident between Atoka and Antlers on route to Tulsa from his home in Eldorado, Texas, when the accident occurred, and is an employee of a large petroleum corporation.
After spending a couple of nights in Durant, he was able to continue his trip to Tulsa.
Mrs. Haskell Taylor is Guest of Honor at Shower Saturday
Honoring Mrs. Haskell Taylor, a recent bride, the ladies of the Church of Christ entertained with a shower at the home of Mrs. Ernest Pitchlynn. The guests were greeted at the door by Mrs. Bonnie Edwards.
About the rooms were numerous containers of red poppies.
Mrs. Zora Dake was in charge of a number of games and contests. Prizes went to Mrs. W. E. McIntosh and Mrs. R. L. Pace.
After the games the honoree was asked to go into the dining room where the table was laden with lovely gifts.
The hostesses served ice cream and angel food cake to more than fifty guests present.

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Guy G. Crossett were in Bokchito Monday night for the 39th district Masonic meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. Jess Maytubby have returned to their home here after spending the weekend with relatives in Muskogee.
