Allen-Semple
Last Sunday morning at 8:30 o’clock at the home of the parents of the bride, in the presence of the immediate family and two or three intimate friends, Miss Margaretta Semple and Dr. John R. Allen, unattended, marched into the parlor, beautifully decorated for the occasion with roses and lilies, to the strains of Mendelssohn’s Wedding March played by Mrs. Fanney Delzell, where according to the ritualistic ceremony of the Methodist Church they were made man and wife. Rev. H. B. Vaught officiating.
The bride comes from the oldest and most highly respected families of charming and accomplished young woman. The groom has been a practicing physician in Caddo for the past two years, coming here from Caney where he had previously resided for several years. He is a most worthy young man. from Caddo Herald
