Miss Lula Hays spent the week with her sister, Mrs. Shaw, in Durant, returning Monday.
Miss Lula Threlkeld returned Sunday from spending the week with her sister at Calera.
Miss Kimbrough Overstreet attended the wedding of Miss Mary Clinkscales in Atoka Sunday.
Mrs. Jess J. Hamilton and Miss Nora Flinchum were here Christmas day visiting relatives.
Miss Joes Plumber of Coalgate, has been the guest of Miss Neomi Bowman during the holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Markham are back from Dallas to make their home in Caddo.
Mr. Adams, father of Mrs. I. S. Powell, came in from Texas Monday for a few days’ visit.
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Harrison returned Monday from a week’s visit to relatives in north Texas.
Mrs. D. D. Lynch and son, Grady, were down from Muskogee to spend the holidays with relatives.
Mrs. Barlow Roberts of Sherman, visited her parents Mr. and Mrs. Rathbun here during the holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Thompson and Miss Anna Kenyon spent Christmas with their parents in Denison.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carraway were over from Kenefick last week spending the holidays with relatives here.

Miss Myrtle Haralson and Lawson Haralson went to Lawton last week to visit their grandmother, returning home Monday.
Preston Malone came up from Fort Worth to spend the holidays with home folks. He is attending Texas Christian University.
J. E. Derr returned this week from a visit to Texas points. He reports that every place he visited was in a worse shape than Caddo.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Frazer enjoyed a turkey dinner with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Brigance at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mattox, Christmas day.
Mrs. Farmer, mother of Mrs. Joe Cannon, died at the family residence in Caddo Wednesday night, and was buried in Caddo Cemetery yesterday.
H. Edwards is now an officer of the Security National Bank. He has sold his merchandise business and returned to his original avocation. He invites his friends to call on him there, assuring them a cordial welcome.
Note: I will continue with these tomorrow. The locals for January are often quite lengthy, and this issue is no exception. However, I do want to skip ahead to an item related to the one previously underlined. I’m not sure why they were not printed together (they are in different columns), or why more comment was not made about either. I didn’t notice them at the time I copied the locals, so I need to go back to the paper and look to see if there are individual obituaries for the women in the next issue. This must have been a very sad holiday for this family.
Mrs. Joe Cannon died the morning of Christmas Eve. The funeral occurred Christmas day from the family residence. She was the wife of Joe Cannon, the daughter of Mrs. Farmer. She had been living in and near Caddo many years.
