Homer Freeny Asks to be Your Next County Treasurer
Homer Freeny, teacher of the Franklin School three miles east of Caddo, authorizes us to announce his name as a candidate for the office of county treasurer, subject to the democratic primary July 12th.
Homer needs no introduction to the voters of the Caddo community, being a member of one of the real pioneer families of this section and has lived his entire life here.
He does not wish to make a formal announcement at this time, being content to let his wish be known to the voters at this time and will make a formal announcement later.
Bill Steger Wants to be County Attorney of Bryan County
Bill Steger of Durant authorizes us this week to announce his name as a candidate for the place of County attorney, subject to the primary July 12.
Steger is a young man, a recent graduate of the school of law of Oklahoma University, and is a member of one of the most prominent families in Durant.
He will make a formal announcement at a later date, but in the meantime wishes to get his name before the people of this section and promises to try to get around to see all the voters as fast as he can.
Frank Trimmer Makes Announcement for the Sheriff’s Office
We are authorized this week to place the name of Frank Trimmer for your consideration as a candidate for Sheriff of Bryan County.
Frank feels he needs no introduction to the voters here inasmuch as he has been a resident here for a good portion of his life and has been favorably known wherever he has lived.
Trimmer received much publicity as one of the principals in the killing of Fred Tindol and the capture of Pete Traxler as one of the two being kidnapped by these fleeing desperadoes in their wild ride throughout north Texas and southeast Oklahoma last June.
Frank will make a formal announcement at a later date and asks your consideration in the campaign for sheriff.
