Robert Dickey Dies in Veteran’s Hospital
At Muskogee Tuesday
Robert Dickey, aged 42, died in the Veterans Hospital at Muskogee Tuesday. Funeral was held at Methodist Church in Caddo Thursday afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by Rev. A. S. Eggner, pastor. Burial in Caddo Cemetery, in charge of Holmes Funeral Home.
Rev. M. A. Cassidy delivered the oral tribute to the deceased in remarkable words, praising the blameless life of Robert Dickey.
Robert is a son of Dr. and Mrs. R. P. Dickey, was born and raised in Kenefick, was a World War veteran, later in the cotton business at Durant and Tulsa. He is survived by his wife, five children, father, mother, two brothers, and two sisters.
Mr. Dickey had been in the Veteran’s Hospital about eight months for treatment of a nervous disorder, but little hope was held for his recovery.
Robert was well known in Caddo, and had many friends wherever he has lived.
