To Try for Oil near Caddo- Raise Bonus
This week some live wires of Caddo have been out seeing what they could do toward raising a bonus to test for oil near Caddo. They were successful in getting promises for more than $10,000 to the driller or company who would make a thorough test.
Of course, this amount of money would not drill the well, but it is in addition to leases the driller might get. Nearly every man approached put down the amount asked. Of course the money will not be due unless oil is struck or the well is down 3500 feet.
This would forever settle the question as to whether or not there is oil here. Furthermore, if no oil is struck it will make business better for the time being. If oil is struck it will mean the making of Caddo as an oil town.
Many have not abandoned the idea that there is oil close to Caddo and are willing to put up their money on the proposition.
