Senior Party
Mrs. Grayson, at home, honoring Seniors ’29, Monday evening Feb. 11, eight o’clock.
The above invitation, written on dainty white cards, tinted in tiny red hearts, was sent to 62 guests. At the appointed hour the invited ones arrived in gala attire, befitting the occasion.
The lovely home of Mrs. Grayson was decorated in the Senior colors, purple and gold, with red and white Valentine colors scattered here and there. Winning King of Hearts met all at the door and escorted them to their places.
To say the party was a success would be putting it in mild tones.
After a popular radio program names of famous lovers were distributed. We hadn’t realized before that there were so many atheists in our number. Winner of first prize, a Friendship Book, was L. J. Schwartz. Consolation went to Mabel Alice for Romeo. (I have no idea what this paragraph means.)
Tallies of the color scheme and ten tables were placed for Bunco, Cootie, Hearts and Touring. Bismarck Rohde, Mabel Hauer, and Horace Cobb won high prizes. Consolation awards went to Hardenia Ellis and Jack Hancock.
A delightful plate lunch of tiny heart-shaped cheese sandwiches, tuna fish salad and lettuce leaves, individual angel foods, inscribed ’29 candy hearts, and grape juice were served.
Mrs. C. A. Hancock, Mrs. Wilson, Marinell Kuschke, Billy Edwards, and Jack Dale, who acted King of Hearts.
One of the most enjoyable features of the evening was a Fortune Hunt, after which hostess and the King of Hearts presented each guest with charming little favors, a whistle dressed as a Valentine Girl.
There are some things we remember because we like to and this will surely go down as one of the most cherished memories of the Senior Class.
All departed at a late hour declaring Mr. and Mrs. Grayson a most entertaining host and hostess. Those present were:

Stevens, Mr. Alair, Mary Adeline Boland, Mr. and Mrs. Owen, Howell Boydstun, Clyde Blanks, Billy Edwards, Marinell Kuschke, Mrs. Hancock, Mrs. Wilson, and host and hostess. We walked through mud with rubber boots on to the graduation exercises. It had been raining for three days.
