There were often articles in the paper about businesses doing what they could to make Caddo more attractive. And the editor was smart to encourage them.

Brightening Things
The Guthrie drug store has a new inside paint job that puts it in first-class condition, brighter with more light.
Warrick Department Store is getting a redecorating and new arrangements inside. Improves the looks and convenience.
The First State Bank had its face lifted in front with a sand cleaning job. Looks better and brighter. Might try that sand blast to clean some other places we know of.
Rachel’s Beauty Shoppe will be moved Monday to the Rasberry building west of The Herald. A much better arrangement.
Other improvements in town give appearance of prosperity.
