Mrs. Margaret Beck Dies at Home Here
Mrs. Margaret E. Beck, 89-year-old pioneer of this county, died at her home in Caddo late Tuesday night after a long illness. Funeral was held at the Baptist Church in Caddo at 10 o’clock Thursday morning conducted by Rev. M. D. Gentry, assisted by Rev. A. S. Eggner. Burial in Caddo Cemetery.
Mrs. Beck, born in Missouri in 1849, had been a resident of Caddo vicinity for 52 years, was the widow of Jerry Beck, Civil War veteran who died in 1932.
Mrs. Beck was a long time member of the Baptist Church.
Pall bearers were Hardy Rudisill, Eric Holm, Joe Turner, T. I. McGraw, Arthur Hill, and Lake Brewer.
Surviving relatives are Bill Beck, a son, Durant; Mrs. I. E. Nagle, a daughter of Childress, Texas; and two grandchildren, Maurice Beck and Mrs. Zora Dake, Caddo.
