Mr. and Mrs. J. Lou Watson and daughters of Waurika visited in the Mrs. Cassidy home during the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hauer and son of Denison, Texas were guests of Mrs. Birdie Hill last weekend.
Misses Camilla and Mary Liska Gentry from Davis, were here yesterday visiting in the Roy L. Cochran home.
Rev. and Mrs. Phillip Royal and two sons are spending the week with their parents at Loling and Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Margie Sue Simpson of Hartshorne is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Powell.
Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Stuart of Oklahoma City spent Christmas at the Stuart Ranch east of town and with relatives.
In the absence of the pastor Sunday, Dec. 30, Rev. A. S. Eggner will preach at the Methodist church Sunday morning and evening.
Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Henninger of Jenks, and Mr. and Mrs. Ocie Faudree of Sand Springs were visiting relatives here during the Christmas holidays.
Jay Cunningham arrived home Saturday from army service in the Far East. Upon arrival home he got the first glimpse of his daughter born while in service.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Trisler and children William Edward, James Wesley, and Ruby Jewel, from Gunter, Texas, spent Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Trisler and sister Bonnie of Caddo, Route 1.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Guthrie of Kenefick, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Hagood, of Albuquerque and two children and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Owen and children of Durant and Mr. and Mrs. Clovis Wood of Caddo spent Christmas day at the W. L. Guthrie home.
Pat W. Hardy arrived home Thursday from San Pedro, Calif. with delayed order for discharge January 18. He will spend the time with his family here and in Durant until then. He will have served three years and four months in the Navy and attained a rank of yeoman first class.
Dr. and Mrs. Barker of Broken Bow, Mr. and Mrs. John Snell of High, and Mrs. Preston Snell of High, Joy and Joe Hogan of Marlow, Nell Hogan form Wichita, and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Snell and son were guests Christmas of Mr. and Mrs. John Hogan. It was a happy family reunion with but three of the children, Edwin of Oklahoma City, Inez of the Red Cross, and Bob in the Navy.
