Caddo Scouts Hold Good Court of Honor
Troop 8, the local scout troop in the Kiamichi area, held court of honor last Friday evening at the Methodist Church Annex.
All members of the committee were present and some 40 boys were present to witness this occasion, including 5 boys from Kingston and 2 from Durant.
Three boys were advanced to the rank of second class scouts as follows: Corlis Claburn, Reavis McGraw, and J. E. Blanks.
Thirteen merit badges were awarded as follows: George Wood, 5; Lindsey Martin, 3; Glynn Martin, 3; and James Goddard, 2. A visiting scout, Blaine Willholte, of troop 19, Durant, was also before the court of honor to pass and be awarded his merit badge in swimming.
Investiture service for six tenderfoot scouts was also conducted by C. A. Wood, chairman of the local committee. The boys receiving tenderfoot badges were Leburn Sawyers, Jack Rudisill, Neathery Parker, Cecil Flowers, Charles Bilbo, and James Foster.
The next court of honor is scheduled to be held on April 4th, and several of the members of the troop have signified their intention of coming before this meeting for advancement to a higher rank.

Plans for Kiamichi area scout rallies are being considered by leaders of the various troops in the council, Scout Executive H. F. Donnelly said early this week.
