School Election to be Held Next Tuesday
Don’t forget the annual school election to be held next Tuesday afternoon between 2 and 4 of the clock at the Legion Hut.
The term of Roland Harris is about to expire, and another is to be elected in his place. He may be re-elected if the people want him and he will serve.
Also the ten-mill extra levy is to be voted on. This amount is absolutely necessary if our good school is to continue at its now fine efficiency. A considerable reduction in expense has been made, about ten per cent less than last year.
Ten years ago teacher’s salaries were $17,000. Now they ask only $14,000. Other items may be pared by the excise board, or not, as conditions justify.
Our schools must be kept up at any cost.
But remember to come and to vote. Take an interest in the schools. Vote and vote intelligently for the good of the children.
