I had a request for information about Franklin school and found this small item.

Franklin School Burns
Monday night around eleven o’clock the Franklin school house four miles east of Caddo was burned.
When the fire was discovered it had made such headway that it was impossible to save the building or any of the contents. The building and contents were a total loss as well as a considerable amount of school books. Adequate insurance was carried to cover the loss.
Homer Freeny and Mrs. W. P. Turnbull, teachers of the school, have announced that school will reopen as soon as proper books and quarters can be secured.
