59th Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. A. Powell celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Tuesday, March 31st at their home near the Baptist Church. A nice dinner was prepared and a number of the aged couple’s relatives were present.
Mr. and Mrs. Powell came to Indian Territory 33 years ago. He is 84 and she is 81 years old. They have 15 children, 4 living; 29 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. They are members of the Christian church; he has been for 57 years; he has been a Master Mason 55 years, and served 4 years in the Civil War, 2 years with the Confederates and 2 years with the Federals.
Change Residences
This week Dr. C. D. Dale bought the Ben Siegel home, first door east of his home and has moved into it. Henry Bass moved in the J. K. Bass home. Mrs. J. K. Bass moved into the Earnest Bass home, and Roy Riddels moved into the old Dr. Dale home.
Dr. Dale is making some repairs to his new home, which will materially add to the looks of that part of town.
Mebane Cotton Seed for Sale
I have about 400 bushels of Mebane cotton seed for sale at my barn at $1 per bushel. These seed are right from pedigreed Mebane cotton seed.
I have also about one thousand bushels of feed oats for sale at 65c per bushel at my barn, south of town two miles. W. O. Lindsey
