Mrs. W. D. Harrison visited Mr. Harrison in Sherman Wednesday.

Little Miss Huddleston is home from Sherman and improving rapidly.

Ernest Bass is home form a 3-months trip through Texas and California.

Dr. J. L. Reynolds of Durant, Okla. Specialist in diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat and glass fitting had a card on another page of today’s paper.

Mrs. M. A. Franklin left Tuesday for Boston to attend the National Christian Science Convention. She was accompanied by her little granddaughter, Pauline.

P. W. Howe left Wednesday for St. Louis to attend a meeting of the directors of the Southern Surety Co. he will attend the Oklahoma Banker’s Convention before returning home.

Rev. J. H. Crain will leave today for Bokchito where he will begin a meeting. He will be assisted by his brother from Paris, Texas. Rev. Crain is pastor of the Baptist churches here and at Bokchito.

Another rain Tuesday morning came. It was a good one. It seems we are to have plenty of moisture in and on the ground. The situation however, is getting serious. Very little cotton has been planted and it’s high time the seeds were in the ground.

As a part of the pre-commencement entertainments, Mrs. C. E. Johnston at the home of Mrs. D. B. Williams Wednesday night entertained the seniors and juniors. Those who attended report a splendid entertainment. Mrs. G. Goodman last night entertained the seniors with a box party at the Electric Theatre.

Tuesday afternoon the Caddo High School baseball team went to Durant and engaged the S. E. Normal team in a game. The score was 5 and 2 in favor of the Normal. The team was accompanied by Misses Blackwell, Pinson, Malone, Charleen Hogan, Beuna Bowman, and Clarence Dodd. All report a good game and pleasant time.

At a meeting of the board of school directors Tuesday afternoon, Prof. Rorye of Checotah was elected Superintendent of Caddo Schools for the ensuing year. Prof. Rorye is a young man with many recommendations as a man and teacher and it is hoped and believed that he will make good as Superintendent. About the best way to assure success is to get behind him and his corps of teachers and boost them before the children; then encourage the children to work and study.

---- the Methodist Church Sunday at --- the Children’s Day program --- rendered by the children of the Sunday School. The program consists of songs, drills, and speeches and other exercises by the children. It is the best program yet produced for Children’s Day and will be thoroughly enjoyed by all who attend. No admission is charged. It is simply a service that the children render once each year and you are very cordially invited to attend.  

A Band of Boys- Under the direction of C. E. Blessing, a band composed of boys under eighteen years has been organized and they have practiced each Tuesday night. There boys compose the band at present: Audra Hipp, Prentice Mead, Isaac McCoy, Delmo Cossart, Lee Hancock, Thurman Sanders, Herman Pierson, Claude Nail, Jack Glasscock, Kirby Glasscock, Roy Wilson, Talmage Markham, Dave Peters, Luthur Rowsey, Frank Hatcher, Fred Slack, Jim Shofner, Shearl Shofner.
