B. R. Easley Deceased
The members of the Caddo Bible Class feel that in the going from us of Bro. B. R. Easley, we have lost from the class a faithful member, a loyal supporter, and a consistent worker.
The class was organized a year ago by Rev. W. B. Slack who was teacher till he was called to other fields. He was succeeded by Rev. M. A. Cassidy, who taught it for several months. The duties of the church called for so much of his time that Bro. W. R. Evans took charge as teacher and is at present leading us in the good begun work.
In these months we have been brought together in such a friendly way that it has created a tie of strong brotherhood.
The place Brother Easley occupied in our class, the sunny disposition, the splendid attention and soul interest which he took in the class, we envy for ourselves, and feel that in imitating such an example we would be making a valuable investment.
Be it therefore resolved: 1st, that the class extend to Mrs. B. R. Easley and family our prayer and sympathy, assuring them of our friendship and love for the deceased member and family. 2nd, that by the going of B. R. Easley the community has lost a good citizen and lovable neighbor. 3rd, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family and a copy be kept for the class.
