Last Thursday night the organization of the singing class was completed. Mr. Richard Mitchell was elected chaplain and Sellers Archer was elected president. After singing, the preliminary plans for a literary club were made. Mr. Leslie Hickey was unanimously chosen president. Misses Mamie Forrester, Ada Damron, and Ava Mahana were appointed to serve on the program committee. Tuesday night the club met again and adopted the program offered by the program committee for June 10. The club decided to prepare another program for May 27 and the committee was instructed to make recommendations for this meeting Thursday night.
In spite of the rainy weather Sunday morning a large crowd attended Sunday School. The Bible class was divided and the new class elected Sellers Archer as teacher. Plans are being made for the growth of the classes. The interest of community in the Sunday School indicates that we will have one of hate liveliest schools in the county this summer.
Mr. Agell Damron is visiting relative in the community this week.
Miss Levina Hickey went to Childress, Texas this week with her brother, Clarence, who with his wife, has been here visiting his parents.
