Superior Model School
Ceph Shoemake was in Caddo yesterday checking the items of excellence in Caddo schools. He found our schools scored Superior Model with 1705 points. Colbert with 1905 points leads; Calera with 1885 is second; Caddo is third in the county.
It is gratifying to note that Caddo is among the best in points and that each year they are better.
Mr. Shoemake is very busy now doing work incident to school closing for vacation, and district transfers.
Headrick Bound Over
Ben Headrick, who is charged with hitting Hoyle Folsom with a block of wood and cutting Tom Jones with a razor some three weeks ago at a dance near Caddo, was brought before Justice Maddox Tuesday, and taken to jail in Durant to await further court action.
Headrick was apprehended a few days after the occurrence and released on $2,000 bond to appear before the Justice Tuesday. He failed to appear so Deputy Ware was sent to get him.
Headrick claimed he thought Wednesday was the day set for this examining trial.
Rufus Tolbert
Rufus Tolbert died Wednesday night at 9:30 of pneumonia at the home of Buck Freeny. The remains were buried at Turnbull cemetery Wednesday. Rufus was 57 years of age and had been a ward of the Freeny’s since childhood.
Notice to Creditors
All persons having claims against William P. Turnbull, deceased, are required to present the same with necessary vouchers, to the undersigned administrator at the office of John L. Boland in the town of Caddo, Oklahoma within four months of the date hereof or the same will be forever barred. Dated April 4, 1928, Ruth Turnbull, Administrator.
