County Court Has Short Term
The February term of county court began at Caddo Monday morning with Judge Rappolee presiding. Sheriff John A. Phillips and clerk J. A. Moore waited upon the court.
There were only civil cases to be tried, all the old criminal cases having been disposed of and no new cases filed. The court remarked on this, saying that Caddo people were pretty good since it has been a year since a criminal case was filed in the county court.
The jury for the term was:
B. K. Pate
W. T. Barker
C. D. Robinson
J. M. Hogue
L. Q. Moran
Lake Brewer
M. L. Pierce
J. L. Hull
C. C Gordon
E. K. Freeman
W. C. Smith
F. P. Semple
J. R. Stevens
J. H. McCalman
The following cases were disposed of:
Des Moines Iron and Bridge Co. vs. J.E. Davis; jury verdict $400 for plaintiff and possession of property sued for.
Graham vs. Morris; verdict for plaintiff $117.80.
Voorhees Rubber Hose Co. vs. Town of Caddo, submitted to the court; judgment withheld.
Court adjourned at noon Wednesday, having tried all cases that were ready.
