Poultry Show Dec. 7
Caddo Township will have a Poultry Show Saturday December 7. Valuable prizes will be offered for exhibits of fowls and also nice prizes will be given to those who have exhibits. Further notice will be made next week.
Mr. C. A. Wood and his class of Vocational Agriculture will do the heavy work.
Some More Turnips
Not to be outdone by his good neighbors in the turnip business, Mr. J. R. Allen, who lives near the Liberty school, brought us a nice specimen Saturday. The turnip weighed 2lbs. 14 ounces, was 19 inches around and 4 inches thick. The seeds were planted Sept. 5 so the turnip required only 70 days to get its growth.
Here’s a mark for turnip raisers to shoot at. Last year’s champion turnip weighed 6 ½ pounds so we yet have some piece to go.
