Senior Class to Present Play
The Senior play, “Busy As a Beaver” a frolicsome farce comedy with three acts by Russell Drake, is scheduled to be presented this month at the Caddo High School auditorium.
This play is a smash hit and no fooling! Amateur groups everywhere will be busy as beavers preparing and presenting “Busy As a Beaver” and audiences will be howling with glee at this top comedy that is bound to be a contender for seasonal honors.
Gaylord Clayton, in the real estate business, is played by Joe Dan Huddleston, his fireous wife Donna, will be well represented by Latrelle Corbitt. Judy Clayton, their pretty daughter is Tommy Jo Troxell; Prescott Clayton, their studious son is Glendle Rains; Tillie the maid is played by Velma Briggs; Polly Clayton, Gaylord’s wealthy sister is ably played by Floydene Morgan. Agatha Cornwall, who has her eye cast in Prescott’s direction, is played by Betty Reese; Phelps Webb, who is always busy as a beaver is Jack Hill.
Bedella Shannon, from the Emerald Isle is played by Wilma Jean Clark. Marion Day, who embarks on a new adventure, is Scotty Lou Jones. Mrs. Josephine Ripley, who wants to buy a house, is Melba Moran; Lynn Fuller, Aunt Polly’s efficient secretary is Patsy O’Hern. Herbert Howsen, a wealthy business man and an old flame of Aunt Polly, is Joe Charles McGrew.
