New Fire Truck is Ready for Use
Caddo got its new fire truck Tuesday thru Caddo Motor Co. This machine sure looks good, is built on regular Ford chassis, painted red, built of steel, has four chemical tanks, axes hooks, ladders and plenty of room for fire hoses. The truck has speed to spare and will get to the fires quickly.
The cost is just under $2,200, paid for by the water extension bonds voted more than a year ago. It is claimed this equipment will reduce insurance rates in town. As a matter of fact residence rates were increased 10 per cent last month, but this was before the truck came. In addition to the less rate, the hazard will not be so great for the individual to carry.
The truck will be kept in the city hall, ready for instant use at all times.
