Mrs. Arvin Ellis entertained a group of young folks of her Sunday school class of the Baptist church at the Annex on Tuesday evening. Games were played and refreshments served to a group of enthusiastic young folks.
A Beautiful Tribute
At the Methodist church last Sunday morning came one of the most beautiful arrangements of flowers in memory of Mr. J. M. Mitchell and an offering was given by his daughter Mrs. Homer Moran, and it is a touching thing. Mr. Mitchell had planted these flowers himself in the spring.
We could feel the spirit of Mr. Mitchell in the church, but we do believe Heaven is blessed by the soul of our friend. We know Mr. Mitchell is happy with a new and heavenly choir to sing the songs he loved to sing in his lifetime.
Mr. Mitchell will be missed not only in the church, but in the streets and in the home. A friend of Mrs. Moran.
