Masons to Meet Here Next Friday Evening
Caddo Masons will have a big day Friday, June 7th, when a district meeting will be held with the home lodge.
C. T. Johnson, master of the Caddo lodge, with other officers, is making great preparations to entertain the visitors at that time. This district include all of Atoka and Bryan counties, and it is expected more than 200 guests will be present the night of June 7th.
Ohland Morton, district deputy of District No. 39, at the request of Grand Master Rufus O. Renfrew of Woodward has called a meeting of all officers and members of the twelve lodges in the district to be held at Caddo on Friday, June 7th.
The party of the grand master will include the following: Rufus O. Renfrew, grand master, Frank H. Derr, past grand master, Claud Sturgeon, past grand master and W. M. Anderson, grand secretary.
According to the arrangements of Mr. Morton, all elective officers of the various lodges of the various lodges of the district will assemble at 6 o’clock for a supper at which the grand master will outline special work of interest to the officers of the lodges which he hopes to accomplish in the ensuing Masonic year.
At 8 o’clock in Masonic hall at Caddo the party of the grand master will meet the membership of the lodges and addresses will be made by each of the distinguished guests on the program of the Grand Master.
As this will be the only meeting at which the grand master and his party can be present during this year, it is hoped by Mr. Morton and the others in charge of the arrangements that a large crowd will attend the function. The members of the grand master’s party are all men noted for their speaking ability and also for their research work on the subject of Masonry and a most pleasant and profitable meeting is anticipated at Caddo on June 7th.
